Platano Riders

Forest ThistleThe Platano Riders Club was formed in the early summer of 2007 by Benito Caceres & Juan Peguero.

We decided to start a club to meet other people with an interest in motorcycles.

We gave it the name "Platano Riders" to meet others interested in the growing popularity of Sportbikes, however we do not discriminate against any type of motorcycle, so even Harley's to Goldwings are more than welcome. We just like to get together, ride, and have a good time. It was formed with the philosophy of No Dues, No Meetings... just riding, having fun, and meeting other people who appreciate motorcycles.

We ride at a spirited pace, but we have high safety-awareness and always ride non-competitively.  Our riding rules are designed to maximize both enjoyment and safety, and enable our rides to be fun for riders of different skill levels.  In fact, our most important rule is to "ride your own ride" - meaning that each rider rides at a pace that is comfortable for him or her.

All motorcycles on Platano Riders rides must have good tires, brakes, and current legal paperwork.  In addition, all riders are required to wear Proper Protective Gear in the form of helmet, motorcycle jacket, riding pants, boots and gloves. We do not make exceptions to the PPG requirement.
